Read this first. Your licence to use Prizma is granted under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). This page adds the product-level terms that are specific to Prizma — what you get, what you pay for, how renewal and cancellation work, and what the app does not promise. If anything on this page conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA prevails.
Prizma is made by one person, so this page is written in the first person and in plain English. Please read it before you subscribe. If anything here is unclear, email me at asset1759@gmail.com and I will answer.
Prizma is licensed to you, not sold, through the App Store. I do not provide a custom licence agreement, which means your use of the app is governed by Apple's Standard EULA, linked above.
Apple is not a party to this page. Apple is not responsible for Prizma or its content, is not obliged to provide support for it, and any support or product questions go to me, not to Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
Installing and using Prizma means you accept these Terms. If something here does not suit you, do not use the app.
Prizma is a Pomodoro-style focus timer. During a focus session it can put selected apps, categories and websites behind a block using Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework, so that opening them takes deliberate effort instead of a reflex.
The app also has a task list with due times and steps, voice input for tasks, task parsing by a language model, and a home screen widget. See section 4 for what is free and what needs a subscription, and the privacy policy for what happens to your data.
You choose what to block through Apple's own system picker. Prizma receives only opaque system tokens back: the app never learns which apps or sites you selected, and it cannot read your app usage. To use blocking, iOS asks you for Screen Time permission; declining it does not break the app — the timer and statistics keep working, blocking simply stays off.
These parts of Prizma are free, with no time limit and no account:
Prizma Pro removes the daily limit on sessions and unlocks the additional Pro features shown on the purchase screen in the version of the app you have installed. Feature lists can change between app versions; the purchase screen inside the app is always the accurate description of what a purchase currently includes.
All purchases are made through the App Store using your Apple Account. I never see or handle your payment details.
The price of each option, including the price per period, is shown in the app on the purchase screen and on the App Store product page, in your local currency and including any applicable taxes. Prices differ by country and storefront, so the amount displayed to you at the moment of purchase is the amount that applies — this page deliberately does not repeat any figures.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
There is no free trial. Instead, part of the app is free permanently: two blocking sessions a day and three dictations a day. If Apple nevertheless grants you a trial period for reasons on its side, the app will honestly show you the date it runs until.
Cancellation is handled by Apple, not by me, and there is no way for me to cancel a subscription on your behalf. On your iPhone:
Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Prizma → Cancel Subscription
You can also manage subscriptions in the App Store app by tapping your profile picture, then Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. If you delete Prizma without cancelling, billing continues.
Prizma has no accounts. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account. If you reinstall the app or set up a new device, tap Restore Purchases on the purchase screen while signed in with the same Apple Account. If it does not work, check that you are signed in with the account you bought from and that the device is online — then write to me.
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are decided by Apple under the App Store terms. I cannot issue refunds and I have no access to your payment. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here limits any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you may have under the consumer law of your country. If something in the app broke and that is why you did not get what you paid for, write to me — I can fix it and confirm the problem, but I cannot move the money.
Prizma Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it never renews and is never billed again. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the Prizma app — your access lasts for as long as the app exists, is distributed and is supported. It is not a promise of perpetual service, and it is not a guarantee that any specific feature will remain available forever.
You can dictate a task. Speech is transcribed by iOS itself, on the device; the audio is not sent anywhere. If there is no offline model on your device for your language, dictation will not start — the app tells you so and leaves you the keyboard. Three dictations a day are free; beyond that a subscription is required.
With a subscription, what you dictated or typed can be parsed into a title, a note, a due time and steps. The parsing is performed by a language model on my server — this is the only feature that sends your text off the device. It is off by default, is switched on by hand in the More tab, and the app is fully usable without it. For what happens to the data, see the privacy policy.
A parsed result is a suggestion, not the truth: the model can be wrong about the due time, the title or the steps. That is why it is shown to you as a card before saving, and the last word is yours. Checking the due time before you save is your responsibility.
Parsing depends on third-party services and on your connection. It may be temporarily unavailable, and in that case the app falls back to parsing the task by rules on the device. I do not guarantee the availability of parsing; usage is capped at 60 parses a day per installation.
A crystal is an in-app marker, not a currency. Crystals cannot be bought, exchanged, transferred or cashed out; they have no monetary value and cannot be invested in. Each strict Deep Focus you complete earns one crystal; one crystal pays for one emergency exit from a strict session. The balance is stored only on your device and is deleted together with the app; it cannot be restored.
This is the most important thing to understand before you pay, so I would rather say it plainly than bury it.
Prizma raises the cost of a distraction. It does not make one impossible.
Deleting Prizma removes the block. Turning off the Screen Time permission removes it. Blocked content can still be reachable another way — through a browser, another device, or a different account. Blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time framework and on iOS behaviour I do not control, and can be affected by system updates, device restrictions, restarts, low-power mode or Screen Time settings changed outside the app.
This is not a defect I will one day fix. That is how Apple's system mechanism works for an app you install on yourself. Prizma helps a person who wants to focus; it cannot stop a person who has decided to get distracted.
Prizma is a tool for someone who wants to concentrate. It is not a parental-control product, not a supervision or monitoring product, and not a guarantee that a determined person cannot reach a blocked app. Do not rely on it as your only safeguard where the cost of a lapse is high.
Prizma is a productivity timer. It is not a medical device and it does not diagnose, treat, or manage any condition, including ADHD, anxiety, or compulsive use of technology. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. If distraction or screen use is seriously affecting your life, please talk to someone qualified to help.
Use Prizma on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal purposes — including work and study. Please do not:
All rights in Prizma, including its name, design, and code, remain mine or my licensors'.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Prizma. Where your country sets a higher digital-consent age — in the European Union this is between 13 and 16 depending on the country — that higher age applies. Prizma is not directed at children and is not a parental-control product. If you are under the applicable age, use the app only with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
There are no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics of your behaviour in the app, no advertising, and no tracking in Prizma. Your sessions, statistics, and settings stay on your device. The only network connection the app makes is to the purchase provider that verifies your subscription and lets you restore it. The details are in the Privacy Policy, which is also reachable from inside the app.
Your history, statistics and settings live on your device. Their survival depends on your own iPhone backups. If you delete the app, that data goes with it, and I cannot restore it — I never had a copy.
I try to keep Prizma working and to fix problems, but I cannot promise that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. I may add, change, or remove features, and I may stop distributing or supporting the app. If a paid subscription is affected by that, I will not charge you for periods that begin after support ends, and you can cancel at any time as described above.
Prizma requires an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. iPad is not supported. Newer versions of the app may require a newer version of iOS.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Prizma is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. I do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, that blocking will work in every situation, that your statistics will never be lost, or that operation will be uninterrupted or error free.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost time, lost data, or missed opportunities, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, Prizma, including any case where a block did not apply or applied when you did not expect it.
Where liability cannot be excluded, my total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you actually paid for Prizma in the twelve months before the event that caused the claim.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another country with mandatory consumer protection rules, those rules apply to you regardless of anything on this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where I live and work, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and it does not prevent you from bringing a claim in your local courts where the law gives you that right. Before going to court, please write to me — almost everything can be settled by email.
I may update this page, for example when the app's features or subscription options change. The effective date at the top will change with it, and the current version is always the one published at this address. Material changes will not apply retroactively to a purchase you already made. Continuing to use Prizma after an update means you accept the updated terms. You can end these Terms at any time by deleting the app — and cancelling your subscription in Settings, if you have one.
